Alexander Franklin

Alex is a people-focused problem solver with experience in the public sector, manufacturing and professional services environments. He has worked on generalist HR, data analytics and project delivery.

Alex joined Capital People in November 2020 as a HR Business Partner in our Consultancy division.

He began his HR career as a HR Administrator & Analyst at Cardiff Bus, working in both a generalist HR space and using people analytics to drive Operations procedures. He then moved on to become the Learning & Development officer at Celsa Manufacturing before joining Arup as a HR Advisor and Analyst, facilitating operational HR activity across the UK and working as part of the HR project team

Alex works with businesses to help align operational HR activity with wider strategic and commercial business goals, focusing on people, culture and development.



  • Working closely with NHS practices across the UK to manage complex disciplinary and grievance cases
  • Supporting a large-scale redundancy process with ownership of appeals and grievances, as well as responsibility for ensuring that diversity & inclusion principles were upheld.
  • Leading a project of job description reviews and amalgamation across sixteen sites, four divisions and over 250 roles.
